By using Syncthing you can keep data in sync. Let’s say you have a work PC and a home PC. By using Syncthing, you can sync your important files between your two devices. Or to put it in technical words, you can use Syncthing to sync a local and a remote device.

The developer’s official presentation is more than enough to push you to get this sync tool: “Syncthing replaces proprietary sync and cloud services with something open, trustworthy and decentralized. Your data is your data alone and you deserve to choose where it is stored, if it is shared with some third party and how it's transmitted over the Internet.”

If you need more convincing, let me present some of Syncthing’s main features: it is available for multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, BSD, Solaris, Android), it is portable, it doesn’t store data in the cloud (which is great from a privacy point of view), it uses encryption to ensure your data stays safe, it opens up in your default web browser (it has a web GUI), it can be used to sync multiple folders, it is free and open source.

If you need any help, you can access the FAQ and the Getting Started PDF documents that accompany Syncthing. You can also check out the Documentation, Getting Started, and FAQ webpages on Github.

As mentioned above, Syncthing is free and open source software. If you find this sync solution useful, show your support by making a donation. You can make a donation by using Bitcoin virtual currency.

The powerful Syncthing will help you keep your data in sync. It is a free, versatile, and safe sync solution.
